Research Interests

My research focuses primarily on sustainable agriculture, with special emphasis on creating a link between theoretical agriculture and the practical relevance for farmers.
Since food security and water scarcity are playing an increasingly important role in agriculture, crops such as Chenopodium quinoa (quinoa) are the main component of my research, as they are highly nutritious and show a high tolerance to water deficit and salt stress.
